Samsung unveils Bixby, its Siri competitor

Samsung today officially announced Bixby, a new intelligent interface for its devices. Bixby will be available on the Galaxy S8, which will be released March 29. In contrast to Apple’s Siri, Bixby is meant to serve as a new voice-based interface for controlling your apps, rather than just something that you can ask a few questions.

“Bixby will be smart enough to understand commands with incomplete information and execute the commanded task to the best of its knowledge, and then will prompt users to provide more information and take the execution of the task in piecemeal,” explains the company in its blog post.
