UK plans to tackle air pollution with diesel and petrol ban
Poor air quality is a huge public health issue in the U.K. Petrol and diesel vehicles emit nitrogen oxide gases that can have harmful effects on the population. The High Court set a deadline at the end of July for the government to start taking action.
By 2040, the U.K. wants the sale of all petrol and diesel vehicles banned. Instead, electric cars will be on the rise with more than 45,000 charging stations around the U.K.
