A VETERAN FROM ACROSS THE POND
I am from England and served with the Royal Artillery as a junior leader and then 39 Field.
After a brief time out, I was with the Anglian Regiment for seven years. I was deployed to Germany and did a lot of training as a gunner and infantryman. I also instructed in the tactical field.
Today I am a Bugler-Cavalry Trumpeter and play cavalry and reveille at many events honoring our Veterans. I perform at weddings, Memorials, Military Memorials, Military reunions and Gala dinners. My thoughts are simple. I enjoy working for functions and Memorial, which give to Veteran’s charities. This is where my real work bears fruit to all of our service charities in the UK. I cover most of England and Wales, playing at sunset, last post, mess call, and many other cavalry and infantry alike. The group picture was at the first Gulf War Memorial unveiling and dedication. I am pictured on the far right. There was a funeral that I attended of a fallen Soldier in 2013. I played the last post and reveille for the family. It was a good turn and the service went well. This is why I do what I do, as it also raised money for the Royal British Legion. The family was pleased as punch! I do my best and improve as I go along and with greater and greater support, I’m sure that I can help many Vets and families.
