HE WAS TRULY IN THE THICK OF BATTLE

Today marks my parents 70th wedding anniversary.

This is my 101st Airborne paratrooper Dad prior to their marriage on March 17, 1946.

He was with the 101st Airborne, 502nd PIR, Reg. Hq. and fought on D-Day, Carentan, Operation Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge.

His letters written home to his family and then sweetheart who later became his wife and my mother between 1943 to 1945 reveal his thoughts, sadness and anger after the war. They are now preserved for our family and those who wish to remember that very special time in our history in the book, COMES A SOLDIER’S WHISPER, hence the name for the Veteran tribute page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/ComesASoldiersWhisper , where all Veterans are honored daily, past and present.
