What stories would they tell?

Every family with a veteran that has served has a story to tell. Comes A Soldier’s Whisper Facebook page posts stories daily of all veterans, all wars, past and present and would like to feature your story here as well.

My journey began when I published my WWII 101st Airborne father’s wartime letters in the book, Comes A Soldier’s Whisper in 2013. The page began soon after to honor him but has taken on a life form of its’ own to honor all veterans of wars. This page has evolved to giving powerful testimonials of those who served this beautiful country.

After my ex-husband, a Vietnam Veteran, read my father’s letters, he confessed that he related to many of the sentiments from 70 years ago, and that his mother had saved all of his letters written from Vietnam 67–68. This began a collaboration of working together in publishing Vietnam And Beyond with his letters, reflections looking back 47 years and over 30 other men and women veterans sharing their stories and how war changed them.

“Life is like a piano, the white keys represent happiness and the black show sadness. But as you go through life’s journey, remember that the black keys also create music.”

My wish is to tell as many veteran’s stories as possible and to help heal in the process.
