What a great story! When the cameras are off, it sounds as though Obama is the same mature, thoughtful guy he’s always appeared to be when the bright lights are on. It’s hard to fathom having such confidence, such ice water flowing in the veins. What a Godsend it’s been, having an adult in charge these last eight years! Even his staunchest allies probably never dreamed how deftly he’d right the creaking, flame-engulfed vessel he inherited at the start of 2009. I, for one, will miss his tremendous grace under pressure and the fact that he’s been a class act from start to finish. I’m 53 years old, and he’s clearly the best president in my lifetime, by a mile. We’ll miss him when he’s gone.
