Road Trip!
Taking a trip to Notre dame was one of the coolest trips I’ve ever taken. It was very fun and still educational. The professors and students there showed great interest in what we were doing and in their classes! Class participation at Notre dame was at an all time high, all the students wanted to be there. If possible some showed up 30 minutes before class because they wanted to work on projects. The professors let everyone speak at free will and their classmates respected each other’s opinions no matter how absurd some of them got. The first class we sat in was for a design sketching course and we were allowed to draw and sketch with the class. It was a great experience because it let us get our creative side or and draw, even though we weren’t very good at it all the students accepted us and our drawings.
Meeting our mentor was very exhilarating because he was interested in our project and really gave us some good pointers about how to move on with our project. He mentioned making a works like prototype. A prototype that isn’t exactly aesthetically appealing but something that just shows the inner workings of a product. This is what the next two weeks will be spent on. We are planning to use just foam, wood, and glue for this so it will be very crude but it will give us something to improve upon. The next step will be to get solid works and learn it. This will be a separate project though that will be covered in the next quick update. Thanks for reading!
