Just draw and keep drawing – especially if you think you are not good at it

Do you still remember when you were young, and you just grabbed a pen and drew. You didn’t really care how good or bad you draw, it’s just fun. You were so proud of what you drew, and introduced to people your magical artwork. Then you start to remember some other things, your mom scolded you because you were not supposed to draw on the wall, your dad was not as excited to see your drawings as you expected, your teacher told you the lion should look like that. After all, drawing is not that fun.
I used to say a lot like I didn’t know anything about drawing, I couldn’t draw. So when people tell me the same thing, I can totally relate. I’ve been judged by people my drawing skill is bad till now. What I learned is how you look at things is more important then what others’ comment about you. I mean you can draw, and you think you don’t draw well, so you say you can’t.
Drawing is our basic instinct, if we let others to take this away from us, how many more stars we had or are going to dim.
Whenever you hear you say you can’t do something, be aware of that. Is that really something you can’t do? Or are you judging yourself? Though not saying you can’t draw won’t turn you to be a great artist immediately, it’s that you gain back the ability you have. Be very careful to use the word “can’t”, it steal your power.
If you still think it’s difficult to draw, why don’t you join my draw this in your style challenge? I’ll share it on my story, and you know what, people love to see what others drew, and they dm me with lovely emoji. Most of the time, it’s we are judge ourselves harder than others.
