Thank you so much for your comment! Your father must have been only one of few “real” doctors there. West Bengal is just beautiful and the people are so incredibly hospitable but as so many people said, it’s so hard to retain doctors in rural areas. Given the majority of India’s population lives in rural areas, I think it’s so essential the issue of “quacks” is addressed, discussed, debated etc because if they’re given proper education, the benefits could really be huge.
