Windows Facing Windows

When we look out windows facing windows

We get a wonderful image overlay

But the scenes that become one, in reality,

are two

and our eyes are lying.

They meet in a lie,

in a reflection,

The two images are so separate.

They are polar opposite panoramas,

or they could be.

And they meet and entangle and fill each others

gaps.

And sometimes it makes the pictures more complete,

and sometimes it makes them

fragmented

and dirty.

And together

they are worse off than

they were apart.
