I agree with most of what the author says about the Surface Go. The device — in the 8 GBs/128 GBs configuration with a type pad — is generally usable as a computer. I’ve been neglecting my HP Spectre X12 since purchasing the Go the day it debuted. I even forced myself to stay in S Mode for four days before switching so I could add some mainstream apps.
The information on using the Pen is appreciated. I have the stylus for my Spectre, but it never has worked well. The Pen for the Surface Go is usable right out the box. I expect to use handwriting on a computer a lot more now.
However, I don’t believe bashing the iPad Pro is the way to win converts to the Surface Go. The Go is more of a computer than a tablet. I use both the Go and my 2017 iPad with LTE daily. They are actually complementary.
