Future Retail Footprints
With the launch of the new Amazon Fire this year, as well as their new announcement about opening a retail store in Manhattan, the future of retail—and its footprint in the world—is finally changing.

We believe that we have seen the future of retail shopping space.
One of the key reasons why Amazon gets so much flack from its competitors was that it—up until recently—did not possess a physical retail footprint.
Which meant, no property tax payments, no electric bills, not many employees and ridiculously low overhead.
But the future of retail—and the future retail footprint—is on wearables, apps, and, of course, the screen space on tablets, mobile phones and the desktop.
You know that anachronistic device which just keeps hanging around in office buildings in the Western world.
In the future, the retail footprint may move to wall sized screens and even a contact lens over your eye.
Think about it: Other than perhaps the US Government and Google, Amazon has the most data (Big Data) on you; everything from your billing statements to your shopping preferences.
Remember the Amazon mission: To sell everyone everything everywhere on the planet anytime day or night.
The most exciting thing about Amazon’s coming retail footprint will not be (as competitors’ wring their hands gleefully) that it can start paying for all that nasty overhead.
The most exciting thing about Amazon’s coming retail footprint will be the way in which it integrates all the data that it has collected about all of our shopping preferences for the last 15 years—and uses that to leverage customer service from door-to-cashier-to-door.
