Piet Is So Handsome, Eh Mon Ami? Oui?

Ah Mondrian — Always In Style

You See Him Everyday — Everywhere — The Father Of Graphic Design! Who Knew?

Say, you know those grids you see everywhere like in these mashup dress designs by Yves St. Dragon. They’re inspired by a dead guy by the name of Piet Mondrian. His painting evolved thru two world wars as he moved from his native Netherlands to Paris then London then New York in the 40’s. His influence is still seen today in apparel and design. If you look at the set of The Rachel Maddow Show, it’s Modrian City down to the colors.

Rather than me tell you about him, be curious and look him up. He’s know for his use of straight lines and primary colors along with black, a style he developed over the years.

Below are a few of the Mondrian inspired Dragon Fashion design that are available not so coincidentally at Dragon.Shopping
