Member Spotlight: invoxia
Spark Labs is the US expansion platform for tech and innovation. This week we are interviewing our member invoxia, a French IoT startup who recently received funding from Amazon and is now actively expanding into the North American market by leveraging Spark Labs platform & support.

Q. Can you tell us a little bit about your company’s start up?
A. Invoxia is a French company that started in 2010, and now has offices in France, the USA, Switzerland, and China. We specialize in the design and development of telecommunications products, speakers and connected devices, both for the office and for the home. We are part of the Amazon Alexa Fund and Triby, our latest product, is the first third party device to integrate the Alexa Voice Service.
Q. What is the main focus of your company and services provided?
A. Based out of Spark Labs, our US team takes care of Sales, Marketing and Customer Support. We just launched the integration of the Alexa Voice Service in Triby, our smart portable speaker. Already a multi-functional WiFi and Bluetooth speaker, Triby can now take voice commands and play music, set alarms, request rides from Uber, control your smart home, and much more.

Q. Do you have any new product launches?
A. Yes, we just launched our product Voice Bridge, which allows all incoming landline calls to ring on both your landline and your mobile. With this technology your smartphone becomes the only communication device you need. Your landline goes where you go so you will never miss another call. Voice Bridge is a multipurpose technology that can be used for personal use while out of town, or for your small business. On top of the release of our new product, Triby will be featured for a few more weeks in Story, a Manhattan concept store. Drop by and check it out! (They often have happy hours…)

Q. What is your relationship with Spark Labs?
A. Spark Labs is a great platform for invoxia to network, meet new people, and potential business partners. The space has an open and fun atmosphere with a cool social vibe. Also, being surrounded by other startups developing their business in the US is a huge opportunity to share best practices.
Q. Where do you see the business going in 10 years?
A. We are really excited to see what the future holds for the Consumer Electronics industry, in particular as Voice Recognition and AI (artificial intelligence) are expanding fast and becoming more relevant every day. At invoxia we are on a mission to make AI useful in your daily life, through voice interactions. It means designing objects that embody AI in the world we live in, giving it a physical presence. We can’t wait to develop this next generation of objects, and to put them in the hands of millions of American families.
