I live in a mild climate, but I often go through 3 outfits a day (work, workout, teaching yoga) and therefore have a lot of laundry for just one person. I just bought a portable washer and I LOVE it. I moved from an apartment where I had my own w/d to a condo where there are communal, and I hate the laundry schlep. I wash cold / hang dry the vast majority of my laundry, so I’ll still have to schlep my sheets and towels once a week, and it’s a much more manual process, but it’ll pay for itself within 3 months.
