Mets, Reds, Dodgers, A’s, Red Sox, Twins making moves!

According to Buster Olney, the Mets are finalizing a deal with the Cincinnati Reds for outfielder Jay Bruce, but medical issues may be holding up the deal. Nimmo had a medical earlier, but apparently it is one of the other minor leaguers. After what transpired between the Padres & Marlins (below), medical clearences are a HUGE issue.

The Dodgers and Athletics have made a trade sending Josh Reddick and Rich Hill from the Athletics to the Dodgers for Jharel Cotten, Frankie Montas, and Grant Holmes.

The Red Sox have reportedly traded for Fernando Abad; The Twins are getting Pat Light from the Red Sox.

The Giants acquire lefty reliever Will Smith (1–3 / 12 holds / 3.68 ERA / 1.23 WHIP) For 20 year old first round draft pick (2o15) starting pitcher Phil Bickford ( 2–2 / 2.72 ERA / 1.00 WHIP in High A) and 26 year old catcher Andrew Susac (.273 avg / .343 OBP / .455 SLG in AAA) :

The Cleveland Indians and Tampa Bay Rays have worked out a deal. The Indians get OF Brandon Geyer, while the Rays get Class A OF Nathan Lukes.

The Yankees and Rangers have worked out a deal for OF Carlos Beltran. Rangers get Beltran and in return the Yankees get RHP prospect Dillon Tate plus 2 more prospects — RHP Eric Swanson and RHP Nick Green.

The Chicago Cubs have gotten into the action, acquiring Angels reliever Joe Smith:

The Texas Rangers have traded for catcher Jonathan Lucroy.

The Yankees have have traded Ivan Nova to the Pirates.
