The good news — the fake account of Brigadier (@cmd_artillery) has been suspended by Twitter.
We believe that it would not have been possible without being noticed by some prominent names like Ranga Jayasuriya (@RangaJayasuriya), Eureka Gangabada (@eurekagangabada) ,Sanjana Hattotuwa (@sanjanah) and many others. Thank you for spreading the word.
But is it the end? We find out.
We again visited the parent Twitter ID of “Brigadier” but found a new name on it. This time it has changed its name from @de_watan_lewany to @de_Army_lewany for encountering an Anti-Army protest, #PTMZindabad happening in Pakistan.
Whoa! These Ids are picking new identities like picking new clothes every day.
After tracing its tweets, followers, etc. we got 100+ accounts which are being run from Pakistan and are spreading rumors in our country. Below is how they used Twitter to misled us on the day of Blasts to believe that its Arch nemesis is behind these attacks.

How they use this tragedy to complete their motives.
Here we can clearly see that before blasts these Ids were already defaming India, and after blasts they Added “Sri Lanka Blasts” in their tweets to solve their motto. Now we can say that this Blast was made a part of their Campaign.
Just after the first blast in our country, they started the blame game.
This graph shows that how with time the number of tweets from these Ids kept increasing.
While we were mourning the death of our loved ones and the whole nation was stunned with pain of this tragedy, these fake Ids were using our emotions to monger hatred. It is a tough time for us and this is also a time when we must remain tough for our nation.
We had cordial relations with both Pakistan and India but we do not want to be dragged between the fight of these two nations.
The findings have raised new questions in our mind that are still unanswered. This whole activity was so well organized that only an institution could be behind such operations. We are not blaming anyone yet but how can a country use such Twitter operations to their benefit?
