#1. Sense of pride through easily achievable goals
Want to start a new habit? Or want to empower someone to start doing something useful?
A great way to do this is to keep the targets as simple as possible in the earlier stages. For example, if you want to instill the love of reading in someone, you will probably want to introduce them to books that could be finished easily even by reluctant or struggling readers.
This holds true not just for the initial stages of something. For pushing anyone to do anything that is just above their current threshold, just give them something that is just 0.000001% higher (don’t go deep into math, just hold on to the message), and then you are sure to get exponential returns. For they will have the sense of accomplishment.
