Worshippers, Merchants or just Beggars?: Day 21 #50DaysOfThoughts

In I stepped
Where they usually gather
A solemn assembly they say
Only holy hands allowed
To be clapped and joyfully waved
Up to the one who desires them

Seeing I saw
Folks of different walks of life
They're on Mt. Zion they say
Rolling on the floor
Screaming on top their voices
Far as the word emotional could get

Observe I did
People with varying issues
It’s a type of hospital they say
Sincerely singing and dancing
Praises sandwiched with prayers
But to surreally non-identical ends

There I noticed
Penniless peasants trying
To trade praises for riches
And many stinkingly rich fellows
Grovelling for health and long life
Rarely any worshipper

Then I pondered
Why do we praise and pray
What brought me to this building
To skillfully bargain or pitifully beg
Or because I live the default life of faith
Who are we meant to be

Worshippers, merchants or just beggars?
