Greetings Space Warrior! In this article we will dive into the nitty-gritty of how to launch and win in the best space shooter in competitive gaming. Let’s go!

HOW TO PLAY

  • Download the Gameswift launcher through this link.
  • Sign in to your account using your GameSwift ID (your registered email or username on the Gameswift Platform).
  • Locate and select the StarHeroes game within the launcher interface. If you don’t see the StarHeroes game, add it to your wishlist via the Gameswift Platform: StarHeroes Wishlist.

HOW TO SELECT BRANCH
In the launcher, ensure you select the beta-access branch. Access game branches by clicking on the settings icon, where the “beta-access” branch will be available. Upon successful installation, initiate gameplay by selecting the “Play Game” option.

HOW TO SELECT BEST SERVER
In the game, go to the main lobby, select settings, and enter the “General” section. Optimize your gaming experience by selecting the appropriate server aligned with your geographical location: West Europe, USA, India, or Asia.

Note: Selecting a server distant from your location may result in increased ping during gameplay.

GAME MODES
StarHeroes offers three basic game modes. Choose “StarPush” for ranked game sessions, contributing to leaderboard progression. Alternatively, switch to “Custom” to play with bots or friends, and “Training” for offline non-ranking mode to practice with bots.

Note: “Custom” and “Training” modes DO NOT contribute to accumulating points on the leaderboard.

STARPUSH GAME MODE
By selecting “StarPush,” engage in ranked multiplayer sessions with three phases. Collect StarDust, push Anomaly Augments, and aim to push the crucial Star Seed for an immediate win.

Note: “Custom” mode lets you play with bots or friends but does not contribute to accumulating points on the leaderboard.

  • Phase 1 — Preparation phase: Collect StarDust by destroying containers, enemy ships, or passive energy influx.
  • Phase 2 — Anomaly phase: Push the Anomaly Augment for team bonuses.
  • Phase 3 — Decisive phase: Push the Star Seed for an immediate win after the 10th minute.

Team Deathmatch mode is available in “Custom” mode but does not contribute to leaderboard points.

HOW TO USE THE SHOP?
Press B at the respawn point to open the shop. Purchase weapons, upgrades, shield improvements, and instant respawn using StarDust.

OTHER IMPORTANT FACTS
Container spawning frequency: In PHASE 1, containers spawn every 30 seconds. In PHASES 2 and 3, containers spawn every 90 seconds, providing 3 times more energy.

Bounty system: Destroying an enemy ship adds 150 StarDust, and 75 for an assist. A bounty is placed on players with multiple consecutive defeats or victories.

Anomaly Augment — comeback and accumulation mechanics: Pushing additional Augments becomes more challenging for a team that has already pushed several, facilitating a comeback. Damage and charges increase over time.

Respawn time extension: Respawn time increases as the game progresses.

Reconnect: A reconnect mechanic is introduced for players kicked out of the game.

Tips on how to play and win: Prioritize collecting StarDust, manage a strong economy, and use instant respawn strategically in the final phase. The Laser weapon is effective against Anomaly Augments and Star Seeds.
