As a business, it is so important to be able to connect with your customers. If they have questions or queries about your business, products or services you want to be able to answer them ASAP, right?

Instagram has unveiled a new update that will make it so much easier to do that — you should start getting really excited about this!

Instagram will filter brands DMs so that messages from new customers get pushed to the top. There will be the option to create quick replies with options like numbers and locations. These new email-like messaging tools will make it so much easier for brands on Instagram to connect with people who want to reach them.

Instagram has been taking strides to make it a really awesome place for businesses to be lately, with this new feature, and the shop feature which lets users purchase basically direct from Instagram. If you’re a business and you’re not on Instagram… what are you waiting for?!

Snapchat Redesigns the Redesign

Earlier this week I talked about how Snapchat is going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment — with influential people like Kylie Jenner making some pretty big statements about how the app’s run is over. You can check that out here, but for now, I’ll just fill you in on the app’s recent update. They faced some pretty heavy backlash last year when they completely resigned the User Interface (UI). They combined all friend-related features including messages, photos and stories and live on one page to the left of the camera, and a ‘Discover’ page with publisher and brand content to the right of the camera. They said that despite the backlash they wouldn’t be redesigning the UI, but here we are in May with a redesign of the redesign. The updated redesign has the updated Snapchat redesign has put Snaps and chats back in chronological order, and moved Stories from friends back to the right-hand side of the app (pictured below).

Facebook Page History

This week Facebook accidentally released a new feature that allows users to view the history of a Facebook Page. They were quick to fix their mistake by pulling back the feature, but say it’s due to roll out in the next few weeks. The history that will be provided about pages include when it was created, how many people manage it and what country they’re from and any name changes the page has had. This will be great for transparency in Facebook pages especially with all the concerns around Facebook currently.
