Deadline tomorrow for Startup Week Chattanooga event proposals
Startup Week Chattanooga, a jam-packed week of over 100+ inspiring
events in over 15 categories for the startup community, kicks off for it fourth year again this October 16–20.
But the deadline to submit your event is tomorrow, August 10th.
“The majority of presenters are based around Chattanooga, but we still welcome event submissions on our website at startupweekcha.com,” co-organizer Stephanie Hays told Startup Southerner. “This is powered by volunteers throughout our community, and we do our best to accommodate everyone who wants to join the parade. Everyone is welcome and we never want anyone feeling left out.”
Literally, the plans this year include a grassroots-powered parade “celebrating innovation” on October 20th alongside other surprise speaker announcements. “We’re also holding the Chattanooga Startup Awards again this year,” Hays told us. Chattanooga Startup Awards honors a myriad of different categories of those helping to build a stronger entrepreneurial community.
The community-powered weeklong event series in Chattanooga is a part of Techstars Startup Week, a larger international movement of cities that celebrate and promote each “community’s unique entrepreneurial identity.”
Other cities in the southeast also participating include Atlanta, GA, Athens, GA, Macon, GA, Greenville, SC, Nashville, TN, and Tallahassee Startup Week in Tallahassee, FL which is approaching on November 13–17, 2017.
