This is a shame, because even games like a Goat Simulator have certain achievements built in. There should be a leaderboard for planetary discoveries, or flora and fauna. And if you’re goal is to grind to have a stacked inventory, you be able to build something in a sense similar to Minecraft. Dyson spheres, anyone?
