One point you’re missing is how exactly “hate speech” is defined and what precisely you wish society to be intolerant of. Would you deem The Nashville Statement of Biblical Sexuality — “We deny that God has designed marriage to be a homosexual, polygamous or polyamorous relationship” or “We deny that physical anomalies or psychological conditions nullify the God-appointed link between biological sex and self-conception as male and female” — as beyond the pale?
What about research evidence that indicates a correlation between those deceived by the LGBT ideology and worse than average mental health in children: “Almost half of 14-year-olds who said they had been attracted to people of the same gender or both genders said they had self-harmed (46%), analysis of the Millennium Cohort Survey revealed. Four in ten of these children had shown signs of depression (38%) and three in ten had low well-being (30%) — both compared with one in ten (11 per cent) of all children.”
Note these facts are being recorded at a time where LGBT lifestyles have never been more tolerated, accepted and even celebrated.
The problem with your essay is you fail to persuade me that you actually want a rational debate on these issues and are not concerned to shut-down discussion because you fear the truth.
