In his book The Marvelous Land of Oz, L. Frank Baum wrote, “Everything has to come to an end, sometime.” Today I will share with you the fifth and final step of your Hero’s Wealth Journey.

The Hero’s Wealth Journey: Step 5 — Be a hero to those you directly influence.

It is possible to become rich and famous and to influence millions often at the sacrifice of having a close relationship to those you value most. Become a true hero to your spouse or companion, children, parents, business partners and employees by being loyal to them as well as sharing your wealth. Be faithful and share abundantly with your spouse or companion by providing for their needs and wants with time and money. Be devoted and give generously to your children and they’ll pass along a tradition of devotion and generosity to your grandchildren.

Be loyal and amply compensate your business partners through stock options and bonuses. By so doing, you will earn their trust and they will help to make you a fortune. Better yet, they will become some of your most treasured friends in old age. Be dependable and liberal with your employees through profit sharing and stock. They will, in turn, show the same kindness to your customers. You will then have low employee turnover and customers for life.

To the degree that you are loyal and share bountifully with those closest to you, you can attract wealth and become a hero.

You are on the Hero’s Wealth Journey! Continue to learn and live these five steps: Step 1: Discover and love your true self. Step 2: Create a clear vision fused with an intense desire. Step 3: Do the work. Step 4: Discover that wealth is nothing more than a by-product of serving others. Step 5: Be a hero to those you directly influence.

While we have reached the end of this series, it is not the end of your Hero’s Wealth Journey. Now that you know the steps, it is time to get started! Plato said, “The beginning is the most important part of the work.” Do something today that your future self will thank you for. Now go out there and create wealth!
