I’m not sure whether it’s conditioning or placebo, but both are proven to be effective.

I wonder if the placebo effect is generalized or abstract classical conditioning: take pill for problem -> brain tells body to make changes that help solve the problem. By general or abstract, I mean that it doesn’t matter what the pill is or what the problem is, just that there’s a connection between taking a pill and seeing positive changes.

If placebos work anything like that, then my system would be similar except it replaces “take a pill” with “the act of recording a choice”.
