INT. Hôtel Le St-James 355, rue Saint-Jacques Montréal Québec -in the bar.

CONNIE

Hey, Donnie, the Boss said you’d like to see me.

DONNIE

Yea. Pete just got disciplined.

Pointing to Connie’s drink

DONNIE (CONT’D)

What’s that?

CONNIE

Scotch, neat.

DONNIE

Bartender, two scotch here.

BARTENDER

Coming right up.

Bartender exits to fix drinks

DONNIE

Poor little Peetie.

CONNIE

Do you like my hair?

DONNIE

Yea, Sure. We’re going to have to dig.

CONNIE

I was afraid of that.

DONNIE

You’ll be OK.

CONNIE

It’s just that I’ve never done anything like this before. Do you like my new lipstick?

DONNIE

Wonderful. I mean, I never had to bury anyone before.

CONNIE

Try being a man, you’ll get over it.

DONNIE

I’m on the carpet here. The Boss ain’t happy.

CONNIE

Happy Boss, happy life.

DONNIE

I’m gonna need a Sit Down wit’ ‘da Boss ‘ta discuss a Shake Down.

CONNIE

Pete’s dead.

The Bartender shows up with a couple of drinks, he puts them down.

BARTENDER

There you go.

He exits

DONNIE

Jesus, who thought it would ever come to this?

CONNIE

Well it has, and it is. Life happens.

DONNIE

You don’t think I’m crazy do you?

CONNIE

That’s a moot point. Do you like my new boobs?

DONNIE

OK, let’s do it.

Donnie pulls out a vintage 1955 Kotek’s sanitary napkins box from the duffle bag sitting on the stool next to them.

DONNIE (CONT’D)

Here he is.

CONNIE

What? You kept Peetie in a Kotex box? You can’t do that. You can’t pull him out right here in the bar.

DONNIE

He’s just a budgie. END
