Versioning, Licensing, and Sketch 4.0

I agree with others that the wording for the announced price increase was unfortunate but that the price increase was justified by the capabilities of Sketch. Being able to retain usage to the software after one’s subscription expires means I’ll subscribe since it does give me some control over my annual cost if I feel the need to do so — this is a significant advantage over Adobe’s forced subscription model. (Adobe’s subscription would have increased my annual software cost for their applications by about 350%.)

However, I am concerned that not having something like a reduced automatic subscription renewal price might work against Bohemian coding by giving people less of an incentive to renew or having some people put in the position deciding whether or not they want continue with a $100 annual cost for a single application along with a $600 (for now) annual cost for the entire Adobe CC suite.
