You were prescient when you first wrote about this. Two of my kids went through college for free and got engineering degrees which are basically four years of vocational training. I think that can still be a good investment of time when it is free via merit scholarships. But they represent a tiny fraction of college goers. Most graduate with debt and fuzzy degrees that don’t really provide them the tools to complete. Time has and will continue to prove you right.
