Employee benefits are a common issue that human resources professionals must tackle. Although some companies do not offer employee benefits, there are several reasons why they should consider doing so. Employee benefits help:

- attract top talent. Certain benefits, such as paid vacations, retirement plans, and health plans, make businesses more attractive to potential employees. By offering these benefits, companies show that their business is stable and they feel comfortable investing in their employees.

- reduce turnover rate. When employees frequently join and leave companies, the companies must struggle to grow and succeed. Companies with short-term employees will not be able to build teams of veteran workers to guide other employees.

- create a healthier workforce. Employees who have access to sick leave, health plans, and dental plans are naturally much healthier than employees who do not have these benefits. A healthy workforce means employees miss fewer days and work more productively each day they are present.
