I appreciate your comment. You nailed it; we create false realities that hurt us, but we created them.
What I’m trying to portray in my writing is that it is “possible” to not be in a shit state all the time. The problem is you have to undo your years of bullshit conditioning, which most don’t have the patience to do. Plus you have to notice it’s bullshit in the first place. Most can’t do this.
Like you said with his dying dog you can shift the perspective all you want, and it actually benefits you. The idea is we need to keep up our mental training in order to induce these mindset shifts on command, or very close to that.
