Day 103 — Still Sick and Not Much Happening
Today I was still sick. Honestly, I felt just like I did when I woke up yesterday. I took my medicine and am hoping for the best tomorrow. As long as it’s not strep, I should be better by tomorrow.
When I got my medicine I also bought some melatonin, in the hopes that I can fall asleep at night and wake up early. I ate 4 gummies a few minutes ago, and the serving size is 2 gummies, so I hope it does the job. I’ve never taken melatonin before so I will see what happens.
Today I worked on leahhoniball.com’s new site. I’m excited for it to go live in a week or so. She’s one of the people who inspired me to start writing on here. I also did some research into Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, which sprung out of my curiosity after visiting CNN. That was actually a distraction that lasted more than an hour, but I did get some valuable insights out of it.
Always dig deep! Dig deep no matter what, because if you don’t, someone else is going to claim they dug deep for you and tell you what they found, which isn’t often what actually was at the bottom.
I will begin to wind down these writings and focus instead on reading, so that I may fill my mind with valuable information rather than dumping out mundane day-to-day journals. I keep wanting to do this, but I keep not getting around to it.
I meditated today for 42 minutes, all at once. That was different. Maybe old habits die hard, it seems writing has been the hardest to die, maybe because it’s the easiest to keep alive?
