May 2017 Meetup, discussion led by Straton Roberts
You don’t have to be a scientist to get started with user research.
At this month’s Cache Designers meetup, we chatted about how user research can improve the experience of digital products. User research can be conducted at any stage of the product design process. We talked about the methods you can use to get the best results. Start now. Start small. Mix-n-match. FTW! 🙌
Thanks to everyone who participated!

February 2017 Meetup, discussion led by Straton Roberts
Your app doesn’t need to be social-only in order to be social.
At this month’s Cache Designers meetup, we chatted about ways to use design patterns as building blocks to encourage social behavior and improve user experience. Social interaction principles can now be found in almost every website and application, regardless of its purpose or content. We learned why social design patterns are so effective at driving engagement and clarifying mental models of digital products.
Thanks to everyone who participated!

“One of the most sweeping — and unintended — transformations that the desktop computing paradigm has brought about is the extent to which the physical performance of work has homogenized.”
Designers can use the following themes of embodiment to build better interfaces:
“…describes how thought (mind) and action (body) are deeply integrated and how they co-produce learning and reasoning.”
We are designers, product owners, students, and community members in Logan, Utah. Our purpose is to create a space to share and learn from one another. We aim to become more user-focused and thoughtful in our design approach. Join us the third Wednesday each month for refreshments and thoughtful design discussion.
Anyone interested in user experience design, visual design, or product development is welcome to participate in our Slack group and attend monthly meetups.
