Hey, bounty hunters!
Welcome to the latest StrayShot release notes, packed with new maps, smoother moves, and all the features set to roll out in the upcoming public beta session on February 25th at 6:00 PM GMT+4!
Without any further ado, let’s see what some of them are:
A New TDM Map
We’re throwing you into a brand new TDM map called Urban Ruins.
We built this war-torn cityscape from the ground up to enhance your experience on the battleground.
Think of tunnels, strategic entries/exits, hiding spots — the whole battlefield of this new map gives off most of what you’d see in an urban arena.
It’s a playground for outsmarting opponents and racking up eliminations like a boss.
Interface Makeover
We’ve given the user interface a complete facelift that makes the game alot easier to navigate.
From character selection to in-game menus, the new UI is cleaner, more intuitive and lets you focus on what matters most — dominating the battlefield.
Never Get Lost Again
Finding the safe zone is no longer a guessing game.
We’ve embedded a SafeZone notification system directly on the in-game screen to keep you informed and at alert to make strategic decisions whenever the need arises.
This applies to both the main and mini-maps; you’ll always see the safe zone and can navigate to it anytime.
So, always use it to your advantage.
Scale New Heights with Mantling
We’ve introduced a brand new feature called “Mantling.”
This allows you to climb or vault over obstacles and buildings with ease Instead of awkwardly jamming into them.
Mantling gives you a whole new world of strategic movements; you outflank your enemies, swiftly scale structures to gain positional advantages, and escape tricky situations in style.
Spectate Like a Pro
Do you ever get eliminated mid-battle? Don’t sweat it!
We’ve now implemented a smoother spectator system that allows you watch others on the battlefield without interruptions.
This update is aimed at helping you keep track of the action while learning from the best to plan your next comeback.
Additionally, we’ve addressed bugs such as getting stuck or encountering problems with point-of-view (POV) issues
Leaderboard Revamp
The leaderboard design is now sharper and lets you show off your skills in style.
It’s your time to climb to the top of the log and enjoy admiration from your fellow sharpshooters!
Smooth Character & Sound Enhancements
We hooked up slick, upgraded animations to expand every bounty hunter’s style.
Now, you’ll witness cleaner movements, sharper gun handling, and an overall smoother gameplay.
Plus, revamped sound effects that will have you feeling the bullets whizzing past your ears and explosions shaking the ground.
So prepare for an experience that throws you right into the thick of the fight.
Balanced Weapons
Thanks to your feedback, we’ve refined our weapons too.
Notably, there’s now a Revolver — a skill-rewarding handgun available to every player.
This classic sidearm adds a new dimension to your experience.
It requires precise aiming that offers you a more rewarding combat experience once you get your shots right. No more unfair deaths.
It’s now a question of, “How skilled are you”?
Some Fresh Faces in the mix
We’re welcoming new modular character components into the mix, too.
No specifics like names, etc, yet, but you’ll have the power to fully customize and personalize your unique bounty hunter!
It’s important to note that this feature won’t be available in the coming beta session as it’s still being built.
But when it’s fully developed, expect to be equipped with speed, stealth, power, and other tactical attributes to create a specialized character for yourself.
Finally…
We’ve also squashed some pesky bugs and made other under-the-hood improvements to make your StrayShot experience smoother.
