Definition of Events

Cultivating community through amazing events. Why limit this to athletic events? Yes, I see enormous potential in the running, duathlon, 24 hour event markets, but we’re so much more than that. We’re middle aged people with families. We race for fun and then head home to make dinner. How about an event that calls for you, your family, and your neighbors to camp under the stars at a REAL castle in Castle Rock? Castle Rock is such a great place to live. We have land and we have history. Let’s make sure the next generation knows how valuable these assests are. We could make this a true community event through engaging in conversation around meals, making smores, taking a guided tour, talking about the history of the castle and land, singing around a campfire. Although not technically an athletic event, we can culitivate community through broadening our definition of amazing events.
