Here’s my problem. None of these things actually work to protect you outside of software. There are as far as I know no features that prevent me from completely de soldering the flash storage device from the Iphone and copying EVERYTHING off of the device. A 256 bit AES key does not give you protection if you do not use a full 40+ (Remember, this is something that you access on an extremely regular basis. Typing 40+ characters is not going to work for you very well. Once the encrypted data is off of the device you are free to crack it using a supercomputer if you so wished but even your average desktop could crack a 6 character password in a few days.
