Is that true? I gather there’s evidence young children have a natural disposition to assume the details in the world around them are due to design & purpose rather than natural “accidents” (o holy Wikipedia supports this).

Sure, there must be some environmental influence before someone will identify as a “Christian”, “Muslim”, etc, but it’s likely a child raised by wolves would develop some form of their own religion.
