At What Point in a New Relationship Do You Discuss Credit Scores?
Nicole Dieker

I think that the credit score conversation should be part of an overarching talk about approach to finances — which, for me, is both a big deal and something that I’m pretty transparent about. How I approach my personal finance is integral to my values, and I get that that’s not how everyone is wired, but if we’re not even close to compatible in terms of priority… it’s not going to work. Anyway, I don’t know that I need the actual number, unless we’re talking about marriage and your credit score really sucks… and that will tell me that I’ll be the one buying the house in my name before marriage (or really just continuing to own what I already have, since I already own a place), so both of us can benefit.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
