The entire article is based on a false analogy. Slaves were human beings who could feel, suffer, and remember. Fetuses do not possess these properties. When you reframe arguments about fetuses as arguments about slaves, this false analogy causes the argument to mean something completely different. It is easy to make a false point by using false analogies, but such efforts are simply misleading.
