When I used to hear from someone, that somebody predicted their future, it seemed kind of strange and difficult to digest. I was never able to visualize how this can happen, how can people possibly see in future. Finally I got the answer, through an analogy, which made it simpler for me to imagine how things might be happening.

I would try to be as graphical as possible in explaining this☺

Here is the analogy. Consider two friends, one standing on top of a tree and one at the bottom.

They are having a conversation, where one claims to predict future. Check the series of snapshots to see their full conversation.

So here, what we observed that the first friend is standing at a higher level, and thus can see farther as his horizon is widened. This results in person at the top seeing things that person standing at the base of the tree cannot.

If you clearly observe, these Psychic’s, Soothsayers, Fortunetellers, whatever you call them, all these people are also said to have a higher level of consciousness. This somehow is similar to the example and thus the person with higher level of consciousness, his circle of vision widens and probably this helps them see future, which normal people like you and me ;) , sitting at the base of the tree, cannot.

All this makes me think that future telling probably exists and may be these people actually see events that will happen in our future.
