Smart Vouchers to the rescue!

Buying Bytes is not quite as easy as buying a cup of coffee, yet. As we have shown you in this video series about Masha trying to get a hold of some Bytes.

It’s hard, it’s confusing and not many people are going to do all of the required research to buy something they really have no idea what to do with. I mean, the available use cases don’t really appeal to a lot of people yet.

The easiest way of buying Bytes turns out to be a bot inside the Byteball wallet that allows you to pay with a Credit Card. But hey, the catch 22 here is that you need to verify your identity to be eligible for decent conversion rates (3% fee instead of 9%). And guess what? For identity verification you need Bytes! Brilliant! Not :)

But, Tony wouldn’t be Tony if he didn’t come up with a solution to this tantalization. You may have seen this recent announcement about Smart Vouchers.

So let’s put this to the test! I’ve made a Smart Voucher and funded it with enough Bytes for 12 identity verification attempts. Successful verification gives you and me a reward but more importantly, let’s you buy Bytes with a Credit Card, right through the wallet. No verification on Exchanges, no buying Bitcoin first, no hassle basically.

Recap: free verification, free reward, access to most hassle free way of buying Bytes.

Want to try it out? Download the Byteball wallet, open the Bot Store and add the “Real name attestation bot”, you can use the following Smart Voucher code for 2 risk free attempts at verifying per device: 7BLWSVMT6CLU5

Make sure you read all the bot text carefully and also read this wiki page to increase your chances of success. Failing attempts will not cost you anything, but it will cost me $8 per attempt!

Depending on how it goes I’ll refund the Smart Voucher to enable more people to try it. I’ll update this article to reflect changes.

All I’m asking in return is to let us know what can be improved in the process. I’m sure we’re overlooking lots of details because we already know how everything works and are not intimidated by the technical mumbo jumbo. But maybe you are! So please try it out and leave your comments below. Love to hear what you think.
