Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah of Jordan arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Monday for a formal visit.

At Abu Dhabi’s Al Bateen Airport, he was welcomed by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, National Security Advisor.

Along with other representatives, the welcoming group included President of the Supreme Audit Institution Humaid Abu Shabas.

Jordan and the UAE have had a long history of diplomatic relations.

Last week, King Abdullah II of Jordan and President Sheikh Mohamed spoke on the phone to discuss strengthening the already tight ties between their countries.

During their talk, the two leaders also went over a number of matters that bothered them.

They emphasised the solid bilateral ties that existed between their two nations as well as their dedication to expanding collaborations in a range of industries.

When King Abdullah paid an official visit to Abu Dhabi in November, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed him at the airport, Al Bateen.

The Jordanian king or queen frequently travels to the UAE.

At Al Shati Palace in June, King Abdullah and Sheikh Mohamed had important discussions.

The two leaders discussed possibilities for establishing connections in the spheres of politics, economy, investment, and development.
