That’s all you have to say.
I take apologies to heart.
And I love people who have the heart to apologize.
I’m sorry isn’t easy to say,
But it can heal the very same wounds that have ripped us apart.
I take “I’m sorry” seriously.
I hate excuses and reasons why people did what they did.
A simple sorry goes a million miles with me.
I don’t care how you hurt me, I don’t care what you did,
if you are genuine in your apologies
we can be friends again.
I have some exceptions to this rule.
My mother for one.
There are not enough “I’m sorry’s” in the entire world.
Not even close.
I believe in second chances, and thirds, fourth, and fifth chances.
I know that the world is not a perfect place.
Life happens to each of us in different ways.
You could just say you are sorry.
That’s all you need to do.
No questions will be asked.
Not a single reason needed.
We could be friends again.
That’s all it would take.
I’m sorry for what I did to you.
Those seem to be the hardest words to say.
“It’s not the curtain closing causing us to call it a day
I want to walk away too
But I want you to say you are sorry” ~ S. Bareilles
