I bought my own Story Cubes today, after playing with them at StoryCode SG events for a while. Here’s a short story I made up using the four cubes above.

. . .

Once, a long time ago, before clocks were invented, Giant Fire-breathing Sheep walked this earth and terrorised the people, until a great hero came forward and bravely protected his village and composed many rowdy battle songs to inspire them, such as “Baa Baa Black Sheep”, and he was actually very handsome, so when he became king that was his royal name, Handsome, but over time it got shortened to Hand, as these things tend to happen, and a very clever girl in the village wrote a book about all this, so that we might remember Hand’s courage, it was called the Handbook, but over time this was lost, as these things also tend to happen, and now all we have left is “Baa Baa Black Sheep”, so teach the children when they sing this to raise their fists in the air and remember the legend of Hand, who long ago saved us from the Giant Fire-breathing Sheep, and remember the girl who stayed up late night after night after night to scribble down all the wonderful things she saw.

Feel free to write your own stories with these same four cubes, and share them in the comments. Have fun!
