Join us in Wasco for a Free “Movie in the Park” Screening of McFarland, USA

Our office organizes a series of free “movies in the park.” It’s a great opportunity to put politics aside and enjoy the company of our friends throughout the 4th district.

As we’re planning for future movie screenings, we spend some time in our office debating which of the movies available to us are the best picks. And, we’ve enjoyed some good ones, including The Hobbit in the Mountain Communities and Elf for the Christmas holiday last year in Wasco.

But, tonight’s movie is particularly special. I went to see McFarland, USA for the first time shortly after it came out in traditional theaters. It was easily one of the best family-friendly films of the year and an instant personal favorite. Coach Jim White, an amazing human being, will be a speaker at Brandon’s upcoming Kern Talks: Resilience show at the end of the month, and we’ve enjoyed talking about our love of the film for several months now.

That’s why I’m excited to offer a free “movie in the park” screening of McFarland, USA in Wasco this evening. In the event that you haven’t seen it, yet, I’m embedding the trailer, below:

See you in Wasco!
