Travelers frequently ignore New Jersey in favor of more well-known locations like New York City or Philadelphia. New Jersey is a state in the Mid-Atlantic area of the United States. But the state has a lot to offer tourists, from its stunning boardwalks and beaches to its interesting cities and ancient sites. The following are a few of New Jersey’s top activities:

Explore The Jersey Shore

From the family-friendly beaches of Ocean City to the vibrant party scene of Atlantic City, New Jersey’s coastline offers some of the best beaches on the East Coast. In addition, there are many boardwalks that have wonderful food, arcades, and amusement parks.

Discover The Pine Barrens

Scattered throughout southern New Jersey, the Pine Barrens have a distinctive ecology. Hiking, riding, or kayaking into the woods are options for visitors to experience this area.

Take a Stroll Along The Atlantic City Boardwalk

Which stretches four miles along the shore and has a lot to offer in the way of dining options, retail stores, and casinos.

Visit The Cape May Lighthouse

Dare to discover more about the nautical history of New Jersey. The Cape May Lighthouse is a historic site. For breathtaking views of Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, visitors can ascend to the top of the lighthouse.

See The Art Scene in Princeton

The town of Princeton is home to the eponymous Ivy League university in addition to being a center for the arts. Explore the more than 100,000 pieces of art in the Princeton University Art Museum or take in a show at the McCarter Theatre Center.

Discover Liberty State Park

Sprawled throughout Jersey City, this lovely green area offers breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Wander along the shoreline, visit the Liberty Science Center, or ride the ferry to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty are all options for visitors.

Tour The Thomas Edison National Historical Park

This West Orange attraction honors one of the most well-known inventors in country history. The phonograph and the light bulb are only two of the numerous inventions that can be seen when taking a tour of Edison’s laboratory, house, and workshop.

Wander Around The Princeton University Campus

With its Gothic buildings and immaculate lawns, the campus is a lovely site to explore. To discover more about the university’s past and customs, guests can either participate in a guided tour or go on a self-guided tour.

Visit The Adventure Aquarium in Camden

It is home to over 8,500 aquatic species, including penguins, sharks, and sea turtles. In addition to touching stingrays, visitors may observe live animal feedings and stroll through a shark tunnel.

Try Some Local Restaurants

New Jersey offers a wide range of culinary options, including sophisticated restaurants, farm-to-table restaurants, and diners and pizzerias. Taylor ham, pork rolls, and tomato pie are a few of the regional favorites.

These are just a few of the countless activities and sights available in New Jersey. In addition to its stunning coastline and rich history, the state offers a plethora of outdoor entertainment and recreation options.
