Welcoming Alex Czarnecki to Susa Ventures
Alex starts this week as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR)
We’re delighted to welcome Alex Czarnecki to Susa Ventures. Alex is joining as an EIR in our San Francisco headquarters where he will be wearing many hats, including: sourcing new investments, working with our existing portfolio companies, and eventually joining an early-stage company or starting his own business.
Alex joins us from Uber, where he held leadership roles in expansion and operations. As one of the early Launchers, Alex built Uber’s ridesharing business in several international markets from scratch. He was the first person working on Uber Eats in Europe and managed Uber Eats’ largest global market. Most recently, he led an organization focused on scaling Uber Eats’ strategic partners across the US & Canada. We’re excited for Alex to share what he’s learned from a once in a generation growth story with the Susa family of founders.
We’ve known Alex for a long time, as he was a high-school classmate of Chad, and in recent years a resource in thinking through operations-heavy businesses in the transportation, logistics and hospitality spaces. We love his sense of adventure (ask him about his recent round-the-world trip with his fiancée), growth mindset, and experience starting businesses in empty one-room offices.
