I asked you about the optimum population for the US.
I doubt anyone knows what that means. How well do people want to live? Do they all live like people in San Francisco? Or do they all live like people in Mississippi? It’s a meaningless, unanswerable question.
I advise you to read about the problem of too many old people in Japan , in Germany, in the US, and pretty much everywhere else. It may be news to you, but not to other people.
How many is too many [old people] and why?
the break point appears to be about 20% of population. “Old” appears to be defined as “over the age of 60.” The US is at about 15% now we are already beginning to feel the pain.
I’m for America first. That means Americans first.
And then what? When all the available Americans have been hired and there are still lots of jobs going begging? That’s one of the central problems of the aging of the population. Not only are the young people on the hook for Social Security and Medicare (the system is set up so that each generation pays for the previous generation), but the old people are leaving their jobs in droves.
Immigrants, by and large, are young, healthy and have a good work ethic. We need them. Germany needs them, Japan needs them. Yeah, they sound funny and look funny, but you’ll get over that eventually. Have some pollo con salsa de mole and relax.
