Frankly, I skimmed this. I am also a writer and non-reader. My M.O. is a bit different, in that I do enjoy reading novels, but I simply don’t do it very often. My two grown daughters, my mother, and my best friend put me to shame, Hoovering through book after book with relish and abandon. Two bits of good news in this: 1) It does not affect my work as a writer, if you are to be believed and I believe you are and 2) When I do read a novel, I recall it almost entirely, whether the next day or years later. Unfortunately, the second good news is true whether the book was good or lousy. Alas. Thanks for the post!
