Dems Criticize President Trump Because No Border Wall, Odd Isn’t It?

The Democratic National Committee criticized President Donald Trump on Tuesday for of all things, the fact that he has not yet built the border wall. Why should they care since they are against it?

The DNC released a statement:

Trump has failed to deliver on his signature promise to build a border wall and have Mexico pay for it.”

On the day of Trump’s scheduled rally in Phoenix, Ariz., the DNC pointed to a speech he gave in Phoenix a year ago, when Trump said, “One day one we will begin working on an impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, beautiful southern border wall.”

The DNC however, states, “REALITY: Construction on Trump’s border wall had not begun as of August 2017, and it had not even received funding yet.”

Not true, according to Trump who told reporters a month ago that the Department of Homeland Security was already changing some of the fencing and putting barriers in place.

Also, the work has already begun toward getting the wall financed, no thanks to Democrats and five Republicans who voted against the border wall funds of $1.6 billion, which were approved earlier this year by the House.

However, the fight is not over.

Democrats are expected to fight in September when they return from their month long vacation to make sure that Trump doesn’t get a dime to build the wall.

Look for House Speaker Paul Ryan to side with Democrats and withdraw support for funding of the border wall due to concerns that Democrats will use the wall as a reason not to approve the budget. Ryan will claim that the government will be shut down unless he gives in to Democrats’ demands, according to Paul Nehlen (R-Wis.) who is running against Ryan in 2018.

Should this occur, Democrats will have proven once again to the American public that politics are more important than the safety and well-being of Americans.

There is proof that a border wall will reduce the number of illegal immigrants coming into the United States, which will help to lower the crime rates caused by some who commit crimes once they cross the border.

Yuma, Ariz. is proof that a wall reduces illegal immigration crossings, according to DHS.

A DHS official indicates that there has been an:

“82 percent reduction in illegal crossings in the Yuma area since 2007 as the sector received 63 miles of border fencing after the passage of the Secure Fence Act of 2006.

Better border infrastructure can “guarantee” fewer border crossings for a “generation.””

Recently, I had a guest on my show, Stand For Truth Radio, who addressed the issues at the border.

Tim Foley, veteran and founder of Arizona Border Recon who was featured in the Netflix documentary, “Cartel Land,” understands the problems on the border.

Foley discussed the difficult task of protecting the Arizona border and knows that a secure border wall would help.

He says he started the organization after hearing media and the government repeatedly tell the same two lies, 1) The border is safe and 2) Those illegally in America are doing jobs Americans won’t do.

So, why are Democrats currently complaining that there is no border wall? They have been against it from the beginning.

It’s because they are ramping up their fight against funding for Trump’s wall in hopes of defeating it in the Senate.

If successful, they will use the defeat against GOP candidates in 2018 and against Trump during his re-election in 2020.

Tim Foley’s interview about the border can be heard in its entirety below:
